Kylie Minogue is set to release a live album later this month.

‘Kylie Live In New York’, out on December 14 as a download, was recorded at the city’s Hammerstein Ballroom on the singer’s North American tour this autumn.

“I’ve wanted to tour in America and Canada for years,” said Minogue of the tour. “I know that fans have been waiting a long time for this and I’m thrilled that the opportunity finally arrived.”

A preview of the album will appear on YouTube from midnight on December 12.

While media outfits around the world are salivating with reports that Aussie pop icon Kylie Minogue is set to shack up with her Spanish model boyfriend, model Andres Velencoso, in New York City, it’s been revealed that the 41-year-old singer has already begun work on the follow-up to 2007’s X.

British producer Taio Cruz has revealed he’s teaming up with the “2 Hearts” singer, the “Break Your Heart” musician having already lent his talents to rapper Tinchy Stryder and former Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole. “I’ve done a few tracks with Kylie which sound amazing and very dancey, but that’s because most things right now are – I’m making it very current,” 24-year-old Cruz says of the new tunes. “I have a certain style that I do in terms of songwriting, it’s there on Tinchy Styder and it’s there on ‘Break Your Heart’ and on the new Cheryl record too. But I’m stopping that now because too many people recognise it.”

Tabloids are currently speculating that Minogue will return home to Melbourne in time for Christmas, with her grandmother’s 90th birthday celebrations also taking place in December.
